Things start to look up for them when one night they get into a car accident with Richard Grieco (played by himself) who gets them into the club where they meet two "hotties", Cambi (Elisa Donovan) and Vivica (Gigi Rice). Trouble is, all women think they are jerks.Įven when they go out to the club, that they can't even get past the bouncer at Roxbury so they usually wind up going to another sleazy place and continue trying to pick up women. Steve and Doug do everything together and they think they are a GOD's gift to women.
They still live at home and work at a fake plant store owned by their dad who is pressuring Steve to marry Emily (Molly Shannon), the daughter of the owner of the lamp store located right next door. The problem is, they are so uncool, they've never even been inside the Roxbury. The film's story is wrapped around the two brother playboy's dreams of opening their own club as cool as The Roxbury. Long before the suits at Saturday Night Live thought about turning this comedy performance into a movie Steve and Doug Butabi (Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan) came into existence on the late night comedy show.
